Nepal will host AFC Challenge Cup 2012


The three countries Maldives,Nepal and Palestine have shown the  interest to host the AFC challenge  cup 2012 .However finally Nepal was awarded the chance to host the tournament.The three countries expressed an interest to bid to host AFC challenge cup 2012  finals.the meeting held today, that is 0n 11/23/2011 decided to handover the responsibility to Nepal.

The participating countries are the one which are selected from qualifier stage. Palestine,  Philippines, India, Turkmenistan, Maldives, Tajikistan, DPR Korea and Nepal have qualified for the tournament proper. The top two teams from each  group are liable for the final round.

The AFC Challenge Cup is AFC’s second-tier national team completion for the confederation’s developing Member Associations and is played on a bi-annual basis.
