Liverpool Vs Manchester City | Match Preview

With their rivals Manchester United dropping two points at home to Newcastle yesterday, Manchester City have the chance to go seven points clear at the top of the Premier League and we haven’t even moved into December yet. Roberto Mancini’s men are starting to run away with the league and have recorded eight Premier League victories in a row and if they avoid defeat today it will be a club record of 16 games without a league defeat.
Whilst things haven’t gone so well for them in the Champions League, suffering a demoralising defeat in Italy against Naples midweek that might see it tough to qualify, they are getting the business done domestically and last time they lost this season (against Bayern Munich) they stuffed Blackburn Rovers 4-0 the game after. Though seventh place Liverpool compared to the bottom of the table Blackburn is another prospect entirely.
Liverpool have the joint best-defence in the League (along with their opponents City and Newcastle) and have only lost once at home all year. They are also coming off their most impressive performance of the campaign, toppling Chelsea and with the Champions League firmly back in their sights, will be confident of getting something today and at Anfield where they have only lost once against City in 30 years, will be going all out for the win.
